First Aid

Aquawellbeing delivers First Aid training that is nationally recognised in any state of Australia.

WHO IS THIS FOR?

This combined online and face-to-face course applies to all Exercise Professionals, Health Spa Resort Staff or workers who may be required to provide CPR, perform a first aid response in an emergency situation, including community and workplace settings, and can be tailored to any workplace as required.

AWB offers you to register in either :

  • HLTAID003 - Provide First Aid, valid for 3 years.
  • HLTAID001 - Provide Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), valid for 1 year.

Learning OUtcomes

Gain the skills, knowledge and techniques required to:

  • Perform cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) in accordance with the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) Guidelines.
  • Recognise and respond to life-threatening emergencies.
  • Provide a first aid response to a casualty in a range of situations.

On successful completion of this course you will be provided with a Statement of Attainment including three (3) units of competence that are recognised by WorkSafe WA and in any State of Australia.

Considerations before registering

  • Candidates  will be required to provide their U.S.I  number prior to the course. Go to  www.usi.gov.au
  • Candidates will require sufficient language and literacy skills to complete a basic report of an incident.
  • Candidates need the necessary health and fitness to carry out the assessment requirements which are to complete continuous 2 minutes of CPR on an adult manikin kneeling on the floor and 2 minutes of continuous CPR on a infant manikin. (Some Candidates may need to discuss any injuries or physical limitations, with our Trainer prior to registering).
  • If Candidates op for the fast track option i.e (prior online learning and one day assessment) They NEED to complete the pre-course Online Training Modules (via an online portal that may take 2-8 hrs to complete) prior to attendance of the classroom phase of the course.
  • Candidates are required to wear comfortable and loose fitting attire including; enclosed flat shoes, slacks and loose fitting shirt/t-shirt for both males and females.
 

HLTAID001 (CPR)

Duration:

Total of 2.5 hours (holding current HLTAID003).

- Total of 4 hours (with expired HLTAID003).

About:

Refresher in which you require a non expired/valid HLTAID003 certification prior to attending. This shorter course, runs over 2.5 hours if your qualification is still valid or over 4 hours if it has expired.

Cost:

$50.00 per person.

HLTAID003 (First Aid)

Duration:

- Total of 16 hours.

A certification requiring no pre-requisites that will give you the additional information in specialised areas mentioned above, that is often not covered in generic courses.
